Andrew Koenig Found in Vanouver

Troubled Andrew Koenig committed suicide, according to his Star Trek actor dad, Walter Koenig.

The body of the former Growing Pains star was found in Vancouver, Canada on Thursday afternoon.

He was last seen during a trip to the city on Feb 14th, and was reported missing by a friend after failing to show up for his flight home to Los Angeles two days later.

His parents issued an emotional plea to the 41 year old during a police press conference on Wednesday, when they begged Andrew to get in touch.

But their worst fears were confirmed when friends of the actor discovered his body in Vancouver's Stanley Park.

Vancouver authorities held a press conference on Thursday just hours after the discovery, during which a police spokesperson revealed they had no reason to believe foul play was involved in Koenig's death.

And Andrew's father Walter fears his son's battle with depression led him to take his own life.

Speaking to reporters, he said, "I went to the site. My son took his own life."

Walter and his wife Judy want to use the tragic news to warn other parents to seek help if they believe their child is struggling with their personal demons.

He adds, "The only thing I want to say is... for those families who have members they fear are susceptible to this kind of behaviour, don't ignore it, don't rationalise it."

Seth Green Engaged !

Seth Green just got one step closer to becoming a real-life Family Guy.

The longtime bachelor is single no more, as he says
he is off the market and engaged to his girlfriend, model-actress Clare Grant.

"Yeah, we did it!" he said of their betrothal as the couple left the Tarina Tarantino Sephora launch party in Hollywood last night. The actor was scarce on details, but, well, that's what friends are for.

A loose-lipped pal said the duo got engaged on New Year's Eve and plan to tie the knot in May.

As for their public outing last night, judging by their PDA-filled wait at the valet stand, it was no doubt business and pleasure. The friend says that designer Tarina Tarantino is working with Grant to create her wedding day hairpiece (every bride needs one, um, right?) as well as her bridesmaid gifts.

'Pants on the Ground' -- Las Vegas Bound

"General" Larry Platt is finally cashing in on his "Pants on the Ground" phenomenon -- because "American Idol's" favorite senior citizen is now getting paid to play in Las Vegas.

Platt is scheduled to perform his semi-hit at JET nightclub at the Mirage Hotel on Friday.

Sources at the hotel tell TMZ Platt is being flown from Atlanta first class ... and will get pampered with free food, lodging, several thousand dollars and, last but not least, a steak dinner!

TMZ spoke to Platt's manager, who said this is just one of many shows Mr. Pants has booked recently ... which means the old man is finally getting the money his musical genius deserves.

Simon vs. Ellen - They Don't Idolize Each Other

Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres flat out don't get along, and the tension is building ... this according to multiple "American Idol" sources.

Our insiders say Simon and Ellen aren't even trying to hide it. Ellen can't stand what she believes is Simon's cruelty toward contestants. And, we're told, Simon actually enjoys pissing Ellen off with his blistering critiques.

People working on the show last night said... it was apparent on and off camera ... Simon's tolerance level for the contestants was at an all-time low, and he knew it was making Ellen uncomfortable but clearly didn't care. As one insider put it, "He was intentionally pushing her buttons."

It all started badly ... as Deadline Hollywood first reported .. when Simon showed up late for Ellen's first week of "A.I." taping and made her wait around. Producers separated the two -- who began the season sitting side-by-side -- but the tension has gotten worse.

But business is business. "A.I." is beating the Olympics, and ratings for Ellen's show skyrocketed last week. In Hollywood, contempt has its upside.

Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez Go on Golfing Date

If Tiger Woods has taught us anything, it's that a short game can go a long way with the ladies.

Nick Jonas appeared to have heeded this lesson, as he took rumored girlfriend on a golfing date yesterday.

Buzz about Jonas and Gomez rekindling their relationship started to circulate last month, as the female singer accompanied Nick and his new band on a couple tour stops.

When Jonas was later asked about Selena, he didn't confirm the pair were dating... but he didn't exactly deny it, either.

Now that the two have been spotted on the golf course - discussing club selection and water traps... if you know what we mean! - expect the rumor mill to go into hyper drive this week. As long as Nick and Selena are happy, we're happy...
